KACI is Katayama American Company, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Katayama Kogyo Co., Ltd. of Ibara, Okayama, Japan.

Located in Shelbyville, KY, we were established on Sept. 29, 1988. The company maintains 30.4 acres and the plant area occupies 215,000 total sq. ft.

History
1988: Broke ground for manufacturing facility.
1989: Started manufacturing for DaimlerChrysler.
1990: Started manufacturing for Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Ford.
1998: QS-9000 registration.
1999: Completed manufacturing plant expansion (parking lot, cafeteria - 45k sq. ft. addition).
2002: Started manufacturing for Honda.
2002: ISO-14001 registration.
2002: Completed manufacturing plant expansion (warehouse 12k sq. ft.).
2004: TS-16949 registration.
2005: Started manufacturing for Mercedes-Benz.
